General Guidelines

We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We value your business and want you to be happy with your purchase. If you wish to return an item for any reason, simply drop us a quick note, so we can help. In general:

  • Returns require prior approval from Shakespeare's Attic.
  • Items must be returned in the same condition they were received.
  • Items may be exchanged for store merchandise of the same or greater value.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping, unless the item was damaged, defective, or Shakespeare's Attic was in error. We recommend proof of delivery for your protection. We are not responsible for lost or damaged return packages.
  • Other conditions may apply. See the "Returns" tab on the item description for specific details.

Please note:

  • We do not accept returns of modified or installed items (i.e. hardwired light fixtures).
  • Custom orders cannot be returned for a refund, unless Shakespeare's Attic was in error.
  • If you use a freight forwarder, please review our Shipping Page for additional information.

Damaged or Defective Items

In the unlikely event your merchandise arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 5 business days of receipt to qualify for a replacement or refund. If the item was damaged in transit, keep all packaging materials and merchandise in the original box for carrier inspection. Photographs may be requested. We will contact you with further instructions.

Missing Items or Lost Packages

If you ordered multiple products, please check to make sure all items in your order were shipped and delivered. If a part or item is missing, please contact us for immediate assistance. If tracking shows your package was delivered, and you did not received it, Shakespeare's Attic will work with you and the shipping carrier to trace your package. If the carrier cannot locate the package, we will issue a replacement or refund per your request.


Refunds are processed within 24 hours after the warehouse confirms receipt of the item. The total amount of time it takes to receive your refund depends on how quickly you ship the product, the time in transit, and the time it takes the warehouse to process the return.

Refunds are credited to the account used to purchase the item. Refunds to your PayPal balance will be reflected immediately. Most refunds to credit cards appear on your account within 24-72 hours. However, some bank cards can take up to 30 days for the credit to appear. Please contact your bank for additional information.

Manufacturer's Warranties

All our products are new and carry the full manufacturer's warranty, if applicable. Refer to the warranty information included with the product for details.
